The Money Dance?

Have you heard of “The Money Dance”? Apparantly, folks will line up to dance with the Bride and Groom and pay for the pleasure.
Is this cool or tacky?

Some of my cousins did this at their weddings and I always thought it was just a white trash thing, but it turns out it’s a Polish wedding tradition. So I guess if you are of Polish descent it’s ok. Otherwise, it’s just tacky.
I’ve been thinking about this for my own reception. On one hand, it could be totally cool because you’re making money. However, if you’re guests aren’t the type to put themselves out there and dance with a lot of people, this can end terribly. I know a good portion of my fiance’s friends would pay to dance with him, but I can’t say as much for my side. It all depends. It can be really fun and give you a little spending money for the honeymoon.
Tacky…that’s what I thought!
