This past weekend was really great. I got to hang out with family, friends, and Eros. What more could a girl want?
Friday night Eros and I stayed in playing games. I love playing games mostly because I love to win. We played dominoes, for some reason I just can’t seem to beat Eros in this game. I think it has to do with me counting too slow, which is odd cuz you’d think that as an Engineer I’d be able to count faster. I suppose my brain has become lazy…with technology…who really thinks anymore? We also played Boggle, I love this game cuz Eros can’t win. He needs to get his eyes checked cuz he misses most of the words.
Saturday was my mom’s birthday. I surprised her by going home to Detroit. She didn’t know I was coming home cuz unlike her my daddy knows how to keep a secret. I also got to see my two favorite aunts. They had gone out with my mom earlier in the day. I love hanging with my mom and aunts…they crack me up. My one aunt has read so many tabloids that she speaks as if she knows the stars on a first name basis. Funny! My other aunt says the damnedest (is that a word) things? She might have had really light colored hair in a past life (no offense to any of my blonde friends).
Saturday night Eros and I met one of my BFFs and she SO out for drinks. I’m still trying to navigate how to be out with friends and Eros…I don’t want anyone to feel neglected. I know, that’s kind of crazy! I feel like I have to make sure everyone has a good time and it’s hard for me to focus on everyone.
Sunday I went to my very first professional football game. Actually it was my first football game. Folks find that odd, especially I went to Michigan. You know Ann Arbor is a big, big, big football town. What can I say…I never got into the craze. However, since I’ve been with Eros we’ve spent every Sunday watching football. So anyway, my BFF got us tickets to the Browns v Lions game. I was torn…who do I root for? My current home team or my real “home” team? In the end, I went with the current home team…not because they know anything about the team…but cuz I have the cutest Browns jacket. Yup, typical woman!
Being at the game was cool. I can so totally see myself being a tailgater. Those folks were having a ball…and they go all out! Food and booze…two of my favorite things.
Who Said What?
