Today was the opening meeting of our local alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Imagine a room of 500+ sharp, professional women and you’ll imagine the scene of today’s meeting. I have to say that I love my Sorors. Naturally, I love my line sisters, all 60 of them. We share an experience that no one else in this entire world is privy to. But I have to say that I love the Delta Dears. When I think of the Delta Dears I am reminded of my Aunt Francis who was 101 when she passed. She was an active Delta until the end. She was wise, classy, and a bit saucy.
